Gray's is the smallest of the major Scottish art schools, and the only one to require Fine Art students to choose a discipline and stick to it ' from painting, sculpture, printmaking and the more recently added "photographic and electronic media" (PEM). Duncan of Jordanstone and College of Art and Design was established as part of the Dundee Institute of Art and Technology in 1892.
